Aside Personal Gmail MCP

A local, single-user integration that lets the owner use Aside with their Gmail account through Google's Gmail API.

What it does

When requested by the owner, the integration can search and read Gmail threads, retrieve attachments to the owner's local computer, create unsent drafts, and send email through Gmail.

How data is handled

The MCP server runs locally and has no hosted application backend. Gmail data is fetched from Google only when a tool is called. Content returned to Aside may be processed by the AI model provider selected by the owner in Aside; that provider's own privacy terms apply.

OAuth tokens are protected with Windows DPAPI for the current Windows user. Attachments are stored locally only when the owner requests a download. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
